“We took our kids ages 1-12 here for several days and we had a nice time. The front desk got us connecting rooms despite high occupancy, which we appreciated. The hotel is definitely showing some signs of aging. The ceiling outside the arcade had a leak the entire time we were there; paint is faded and cracked in various spots around the splash park and there were a few cobwebs on a few taller water features; the lazy river had a slight green tint; and the baseboards in our hallway had some large smudges on them. However, the lake views were lovely, the room bathrooms were very spacious and nice, the beds were extremely comfortable, and pretty much everyone we interacted with at the hotel with friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the turn about pool and that was where we spent most of our time when we were swimming. We loved getting to the pool right at 9 and having the place nearly to ourselves for the first hour! But, we would have liked if the slides opened earlier than 11. We also enjoyed the arcade, although one of the days we visited there were some teens in the air hockey room that were laying all over the air hockey table in some extremely skimpy bikinis and generally behaving inappropriately. I appreciated that there were stores within 10 minutes so we could go grab anything we needed quickly. Overall, I think it's a good spot to take kids and relax, especially if you're going to partake in boating and fishing around the lake.”

“We wanted something intimate and deeply relaxing for our anniversary, and this resort truly exceeded every expectation. Even though the weather was rough when we arrived—causing a few scheduled plans to be cancelled—the staff handled everything with warmth and professionalism. Instead of leaving us disappointed, they immediately offered thoughtful alternatives, making sure our time still felt special and seamless. Our room was spotless and beautifully spacious, and the bed was hands down the most comfortable mattress we’ve ever slept on in Texas. It was the kind of comfort that made it easy to slow down, unwind, and actually enjoy the moment. One of our favorite experiences was renting a cabana by the adult pool. It was the perfect private retreat—comfortable, relaxing, and just steps away from the stunning view of the infinity pool. We spent hours there, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the sunshine at our own pace. And if there’s one place that stood out above the rest, it was Land Shark Bar & Grill. It felt like the heart of the resort—great food, incredible drinks, and an unbeatable vibe. With a sandy beach just steps away, we loved ending each day watching the sunset, and the bartenders made every drink better than the last. McKeena and Fernando are truly exceptional—exactly the kind of people you want around when you’re hoping to have a good time. We left feeling grateful, refreshed, and already planning our next trip back.”

His customer service was exceptional—he was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our entire visit. John also did a fantastic job recommending some amazing food options, and everything was delicious! It’s not every day you come across someone who truly goes above and beyond to make your dining experience special. John definitely did that for us.
