“We had such a wonderful visit to Skamania Lodge! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with incredible views of the Columbia River Gorge and mountains. We stopped in for lunch at the restaurant, and everything was delicious. Our group tried several different dishes, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. What stood out just as much as the food was the hospitality. Our waitress and the entire staff were so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They made us feel right at home and gave us plenty of time to relax, enjoy lunch, and take in the beautiful surroundings. And then came the unexpected highlight — we ran into Fabio! 😂 Definitely not something we had on our Washington itinerary, and it made an already fun afternoon even more memorable! After lunch, we spent some time walking around the property, enjoying the scenery and even spotting a few deer. Skamania Lodge is a beautiful place and well worth a visit, whether you’re staying overnight or just stopping in for a meal and the views. Beautiful scenery, great food, wonderful service, and a surprise celebrity encounter — what more could you ask for? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Not quite as relaxing as I thought it would be. The walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbors quit well. The people were great and friendly. The restaurant had great service but the food wasn't anything special. My husband's risotto was undercooked with no flavor. The scallops were way over priced as you only got 3. The prime rib came cold along with the potatoes. We weren't aware that reservations needed to be made and waited over 40 minutes for a table. No bottled water in the room. The bathroom fan didn't work at all, but it was clean. So I appreciate that. Only other thing I'd have to say I didn't like was paying nightly for parking. Ridiculous considering your guests are already paying a high price to stay over night, hitting them with paid parking on top is just bad business.”
“Skamania Lodge is worth the stay for the setting alone. Once you get through check-in (a bit unorganized in a conference setting) the views and amenities are fantastic. One of my favorite moments was sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the porch at 5 am while watching the world come to life. It's peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you hope for in the Gorge. The restaurant was good, although the menu was fairly small and leaned a little too heavily into creative preparations of the same fish. A few more options would have been appreciated. Opens at 7am, and for a conference center , needs to be open a bit earlier (6am). Overall, the scenery, grounds, and atmosphere made for a memorable stay, and I'd definitely recommend taking time to slow down and enjoy the porch and the incredible views.”
